Our Mission

Founded and run by veterans, MHVI's mission is to help homeless and at-risk veterans reach and maintain their highest levels of independence. We offer unique programs to fill the gaps and don't duplicate what others do, and cooperate with the Veterans Administration, Wis. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, County Veterans Service Officers, and other non-profit agencies.

Our Focus

Since 2008 we have helped more than 3,000 veterans and their families in southeastern Wisconsin to obtain benefits, housing, health care, furniture, household goods, food, clothing, transporation, toiletries and other necessities.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We have furnished more than 1,300 veterans’ apartments since we began the program in 2008.

Furniture

When a homeless veteran gets an apartment, MHVI also helps furnish the apartment to make it feel like home.

Our programs are based on each individual Veterans needs. We want them to feel at home with us.
